Shopping for BEST RATE? Be careful.
When calling to compare prices, be sure to tell the person giving you the Quote, NOT TO LIST
YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! If the do, it could cost you extra money and
cause confussion with drivers and affect your vehicle getting picked up. "Double Listing" is not
an acceptible practice and legit Brokers do not do it!
Deposits in ADVANCE? WHY?!
Be leery of Brokers that want a deposit in advance. Its a sure way to lose your money. Once
you give a deposit, it is difficult to get a refund. Worldwide Auto Relocation requires a
deposit ONLY when a driver has been secured to pick up your vehicle. NEVER in advance.
BROKERS DO NOT OWN TRUCKS!!
Very, very few brokers own a truck, so if you call one and they tell you.."we can pick up your car
tomorrow," be careful because there is no way they can guarantee a pickup. They first have to
find a driver, because...BROKERS DON"T HAVE TRUCKS!! So if you call for a Quote and they
tell you this ask if they have their own trucks....if they say NO...hangup and call a legit broker!!
Normally it takes 3-4 days to get a driver....sometimes sooner...sometimes longer.
DISABLE THE ALARM SYSTEM
If your vehicle has an alarm system you need to disable it before the vehicle is transported. If
the alarm is initiated during the transport the driver will have to disarm the system by any
means necessary and some may charge an additional fee for this service.
MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS IN PROPER OPERATING CONDITION
Please make sure your vehicle is in good operating condition before transporting. Make sure all
the fluids are toped off and the tires have the proper air pressure. Also make sure the battery
has a full charge. If the vehicle becomes inoperative for any reason during the transport the
transport company may charge an additional fee (as much as $150). If there are any special
steps that need to be taken to drive your vehicle on and off the transport truck please let the
driver know at pick up.
MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE HAS THE MINIMUM LEVEL OF GAS
Try to have the gas level at one eighth to a quarter of a tank. Some transport companies
require these levels. The extra gallons can add a considerable amount of weight to the vehicle.
SECURE OR REMOVE ANY CUSTOMIZED ACCESSORIES
If your vehicle has any ground effects, spoilers, fog lamps or any other accessories that may be
damaged or come off during the transport they need to be secured or removed. Also, retract or
remove the vehicles antenna.
